The natural lawn is an ideal sports ground. It grows, lives and breathes, just like ourselves. Natural lawn surfaces please the eye, they do not become dusty and they reduce the danger of injury. Natural lawns relax the body stressed through office work, factory work and driving. Its natural properties awaken our pleasure in play and sport. Nothing can replace the healthy feeling and the special atmosphere of a natural lawn. Those are reasons to favour the natural lawn more often in planning. Lawns must meet defined requirements concerning soil mechanics, soil physics and biology, which must be monitored and verified. Otherwise, they do not satisfy the demands of sports or fail with the slightest weathering stresses, very much to the annoyance of the sportsmen and parties involved.
